Cliffside masterpiece under construction

Airlie Summit is a hive of activity as construction kicks off on the first homes within the latest stage of this thriving coastal community.

Soil has been turned on-site, officially marking the start of construction of the first home in the Lookout release and it is set to be nothing short of breathtaking.  ‘Ancora’ is nestled within Airlie Summit, on a prime parcel of land overlooking the Coral Sea.

Perched 200 metres above sea level and occupying the highest remaining zoned land in Airlie Beach, Airlie Summit provides a sensational canvas for showstopping architectural design. Building Designer Steve Rhodes of Considered Colab says Ancora makes the most of the magnificent vistas, seamlessly blending residential design brilliance with coastal elegance.

“Ancora, a Latin inspired word for anchor, pays homage to the anchoring of yachts in the Whitsundays. The sculptural form anchors into the sloping site, gracefully delineating the internal spaces from the outdoor spaces while providing the opportunity for double height spaces over main living areas,” says Rhodes.

“The home enjoys an abundance of natural light, an open floor plan and 270 degree views across the Coral Sea to the Whitsundays.

“The light-filled interior boasts soaring ceilings with clerestory glazing, concrete floors, and expansive windows showcasing meticulously curated living spaces. The well-appointed kitchen, perfect for culinary enthusiasts, seamlessly flows into luxurious living areas enhanced by carefully curated interiors.”

Morris Constructions QLD pty ltd, a Master Builders award winner who has been building in Airlie Beach for 20 years has been commissioned to build the 4 bedroom home, which features 3.5 bathrooms, 3 car spaces and an internal courtyard.

Alder general manager of developments, Greg Tupicoff says Ancora is a ground-breaking project that embodies modern luxury and matches it with cutting-edge design perfectly suited to its unique location.

“Backing on to Conway National Park and with sprawling views of the Coral Sea and Whitsundays Islands, this boutique development is setting the standard for dream home building,” he said.

“Ancora was the first home in the latest stage to receive design approval, and it is the first to start coming out of the ground.

“It is an incredible example of what is possible on a sloping block; it’s a brilliant design outcome dictated by the terrain that more than capitalises on the million dollar views. It truly is a masterpiece. and the development team are excited to see the design come to fruition over the coming months.”

A handful of lots remain available in the Lookout Release.  Alder will release the next stage of Airlie Summit in the new financial year, giving more Australians the opportunity to buy into paradise. This will be pre-released to the database first before opening to the general public.

Registering on the Airlie Summit webpage is the best way to be first in line for as new land becomes available.
